
Sarbjit Singh Gill is a SharePoint Server MVP. He has been in the IT field since 1989, starting with HP3000 MPE-XL mini computer as a sys ops and RPG programming. I progressed to VAX/VMS, Unix, AS400, NetWare, Java and eventually Microsoft's range products and services. I have worked in the manufacturing, financial, IT Services and Training industries. Started on certifications when using NetWare and became a Master CNE and CNI (Certified Novell Instructor). From 1994, I progressed to Microsoft Technologies and became a MCT in 1998 and now I am a MCSE, MCSA, MCDBA. MCSD.Net. and MCTS. I have spent the last 10 years in consulting, technical pre-sales, design and system training. Currently I spend most of my time in Microsoft Technologies such as Unified Communication and Collaboration which include Exchange, SharePoint, OCS and Partners which integrate with Microsoft UC/UCC technologies. As much as he is a system infrastructure person, his software development and design experience include ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#, Web Services, Distributed Applications, SQLXML and going into the future with Framework 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5. He regularly speaks at Microsoft events (TechEd, TechNet, Partner Readiness, Workshop, AirLift events, Technical Pre-Sales Presentation for Microsoft and Partners) and running the Microsoft Learning training for CPLSs in the region.
